we have all been mobbed by chinese students who wish
to practice their english and talk to us. yesterday
after dinner, there were 3 chinese students waiting
for me. we went to
english corner where i became surrounded on all sides
by more students wanting to practice english. kind of
exhausting and exciting at the same time.
but, as i have mentioned before, we have so much in
common with the chinese students personally. but there
are a lot of ideological differences.
well, i must go to lunch now. then to the middle
school--the top middle school in chengdu. what a treat
this leg of the trip has been! we have gotten to see
so much. more than we could if we were tourists. what
a fantastic opportunity! i am so glad to be here to
visit!
